Let August be August

Ok - you didn’t think I was going to miss the opportunity to use this line, did you?

Yes, just a few weeks ago, I encouraged all of us to “Let July be July” in this post inspired by this mini-poem:

Let July be July.

Let August be August.

And let yourself just be even in the uncertainty.

You don’t have to fix everything.

You don’t have to solve everything.

And you can still find peace and grow in the wild of changing things.

Morgan Harper Nichols

Today, August descended like a heavy blanket – hot, thick, unshakeable. It has arrived with intensity, inviting all of us to surrender under its weight as we weather whatever comes next. On the heels of July’s reminder to let go and remember that more alignment comes from allowing rather than pushing, August wants to tell us that the deepest exhale is still yet to come.

There's something about August that strips away pretense.

Maybe it's the way the heat makes everything feel essential — only what matters most survives the furnace of these days. Or maybe it's how close we are to fall that we want to eke out the last moments of summer before the whirlwind begins again.

What happens when we stop? What happens when we witness the fullness of the moment that we’re in before rushing onto what’s next?

In a few of my life strategy sessions with clients this week, I’ve noticed a trend:

Each of my coaching clients are celebrating something they’ve STOPPED doing that has led to more joyful living every day.

What if we all just followed suit and let August be August?

What if the heaviness isn't something to push through, but something to sink into?

What if this is the month we stop performing productivity and start trusting what wants to emerge naturally?

What if this month is here to show us that we don't have to be anything other than what we are right now?

I've been diving deeper into this question myself, both personally and in how I want to serve you. My transition from leading with branding and content work to resurrecting my coaching and life guidance expertise feels like its own August moment — hot, uncertain, but surprisingly full of possibility.

Just like my clients who are celebrating what they've stopped doing, I'm learning that sometimes the most powerful choice is to quit forcing and start following what feels true.

Speaking of what wants to emerge naturally...

I'm opening up some new ways to explore this kind of authentic unfolding:

  • Human Design sessions — to understand the energetic blueprint that's been quietly guiding you toward what feels right

  • Intuitive Tarot Readings — for those moments when you need to witness what's here and use the cards as a tool to help focus your thoughts and actions

  • Life Strategy Sessions & Ongoing Coaching — to help you move into fall and make meaningful progress, carrying the wisdom of this slower, more intuitive way of being

Each of these feels like a way of practicing what August is teaching us: that we can find peace and grow in the wild of changing things, without having to have it all figured out.

These offers will be up on my website soon, but if you’d like more information now, please reply to this email and let me know what’s calling to you.

I’m happy to answer any questions you have – and schedule time to see if we should work together in any of these ways.

In the meantime, ponder the following questions (yes, as a former teacher, I believe in homework!):

What are you celebrating that you've stopped doing?

What's emerging for you in the August stillness?

Reach out and tell me.

I'm curious about what this heavy, honest month is revealing when you let it just be what it is.

Michelle
