launch the thing

If you missed my email on the longest relationship you’ll have and how to apply it to your business, find it here.

Have you ever had an unforgettable moment that — even as it is unfolding — you KNOW a peak experience of your life? I have several examples, and likely you do too, but one of the most epic was getting to go behind the scenes at NASA on a press pass to cover all the aspects of a rocket launch.

For three days leading up to the launch, I (and other chosen NASA Social members) toured top-secret facilities and met with incredible scientists, astronauts (Kay Hire is as cool as you’d imagine!), engineers, and the legendary astronaut & NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden as we learned about the experiments and missions being launched to the International Space Station.

It was humbling to observe how we seek to understand our cosmos and what it means to be a human on this little blue marble in the universe.

If you’re a space geek like me, you’ve probably heard interviews with astronauts who say that once in orbit they look back on the Earth and are overcome with how beautiful and how small we are in the grand scheme of things.

Watching OA-5 launch from the media site that day with these unforgettable people, I experienced a tiny glimpse of that oneness…

Recalling that moment and how tiny we all are in the world is a reminder to me that we ABSOLUTELY DON’T MATTER in the grand scheme of things…

But it also reminds me that EVERYTHING WE DO matters in the day-to-day experience of being alive.

This is why we can’t wait to LAUNCH the things that set our souls on fire…the things that can have a significant impact on the well-being of others.

This is why we can’t stow away our gifts and hide them when we can be serving the world with what we’re meant to contribute.

This is why today is a great day to take that first step and act with purpose

So, hey… I made a video about LAUNCHING the thing you’ve been thinking about. I hope it inspires you to consider taking that first step.

We would know so little if we didn’t launch new things.

Go tap into the magic you’re here to unleash. Fling your wild self into the universe.

Life is very very short. But it can also feel very long when you’re not pursuing the things you’re here to do.

xox,

Michelle

P.S.: In addition to writing compelling, converting web content and email campaigns for clients, I’m working 1:1 with several clients who are launching (and re-launching) new things! Need a thought partner? Let’s explore your idea.
