Like, know & trust yourself first
Last week, I was interviewed by my visionary friend Will Melton on his America's Healthiest City podcast on ESPN Radio Richmond.
You can watch a clip here, or listen to the whole thing here — or on your favorite platform.
While we reflected on creativity, brand strategy & storytelling, and the turns our lives take, if you’re a long-time subscriber to this newsletter it won’t surprise you that we quickly came to focus on the longest relationship we have in this life — the one we have with ourselves.
As we witness nature in winter turn inward to restore for the coming spring, it’s a call to us to do the same. This natural pause invites us to examine our own rhythms and patterns, to rest when needed, and to nurture the seeds of growth.
Our moments of reflection and restoration aren't passive—they're the foundation of our future impact.
Throughout the interview, Will and I discuss our personal and professional narratives and why prioritizing compassionate choices for ourselves impacts our meaningful connections and ultimate successes.
These themes show up again and again in the work I do with my clients.
Whether we’re working together to develop full brand content and strategy, refresh their marketing stories, or we’re exploring their own narratives and ways forward through personal coaching, tarot, or retreats,
Our inner awareness directly impacts the outside world. The conditioning we carry drives our actions.
Undoing our subconscious programming and doing the inner work isn't a tactic to ensnare engagement or an item to check off on your list of things to do:
It’s a fundamental process to practice daily. We never fully arrive, we are always unfolding and becoming.
As I go into my 8th year of entrepreneurship, I can confidently say that the inner work makes meaningful success possible.
Thank you for exploring these topics with me. Thank you for being a subscriber and friend. I wish you a season of rest, restoration, love, and hope.
Xox,
Michelle
P.S. In January, I’m bringing back a signature event in Richmond (and possibly online, too!). Want to learn more about the group tarot gatherings? Send me a note and I’ll send you the deets.
P.P.S. New Year, New Brand? Get the checklist and see if it’s time for a refresh, revamp, or a whole new everything.
P.P.P.S. My amazing friend Rebecca is offering an incredible buy-one-get-one on COOK! — the smartest and most unique approach to cooking, food, and health I’ve ever seen, and as someone with a Master’s in Education who has helped hundreds of clients create programs, that’s a huge testimonial. If you buy with my link, I do get a little something…but that’s not why I recommend her program. I recommend it because it is literally life-changing.
